I expect students to be respectful and ready to learn. Readiness to learn and respect are building blocks to a successful academic career. I plan to foster a love of reading and inquisitiveness. I want to encourage students to seek their own answers and thrive, 
as they encounter the world and its issues. My focus this year is getting students excited about reading and technology.  As 21st 
century learners, it is important to strike a balance between technology and personal connections. I want to provide students 
​with the tools needed to compete in today's world, but never lose sight of the importance and power of personal interactions.
