I hold high expectations for all of my students. I do not hold them to the expectations of the child next to them. I expect each of my students to reach their highest individual potential. I partner with them to push past any perceived limitations and strive for success. Behaviorally, I expect every student to be about the business of learning when they are in the classroom and to be positive, contributing members of the school community at all times. That is not something that comes naturally to all children so, it is my job to help them define scholarly, pro-social behavior. My goal for all of my students is to set and meet their academic and behavioral goals. I will help all of my students define what that means to them personally and then I will construct pathways and bridges to support them on their journey. I am looking forward to listening to my students' and their parents' hopes and expectations for the year and helping them to realize them. I hope than I can be a trusted ally while always keeping in mind that every student is an important and unique individual and must be respected and treasured as such.
