Nurse's Corner

Dear parents and students,

It is the time of year when flu season is taking full effect. Please remember to wash your hands before eating, after using the restroom, after coughing or wiping your nose. Also, please remember and remind your students to cover their month when coughing. If your student does not feel well please keep them at home. If you do not have a flu shot it would be a great time to get one. If your student has a consent form with the student based health center they can get a flu vaccine at the student health center. If your student doesn't have a consent form with the health center they can stop by the health center and get one to be filled out.

Thank you and Happy Holidays

Nurse Wagner

Dear parents and students,

Please make sure your student is up to date on their immunizations that are required to be in school and provide the front office with updated immunization records. These immunizations are Hep B series, HIB, Varicella series, MMR series, Polio series, and DTAP series. If you are a 7th grader it is required that you have a TDAP (Whooping cough) vaccination by January 2018. If your student is in Kindergarten they have to be up to date on all immunizations listed above by January 2018. If your student has a consent form filled out at the student based health center they can receive these immunizations there. If you would like your student to fill out a consent form they can get one at the front office of the health center. I would also recommend your student getting other important immunizations such as Meningococcal, HPV, and flu vaccine. Thank you for your assistance in keeping our school safe from the spread of disease.
